The TIARA (Training in Implementation: Actionable Research Approaches) Program, offered by the Healthcare Institute for Innovations in Quality at the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC), addresses the significant gap between the development of evidence-based practices and their application into clinical settings. This gap results in a slow innovation uptake, whether that be processes to improve healthcare delivery or potentially lifesaving clinical interventions. TIARA equips healthcare professionals with the tools and knowledge needed to rapidly implement evidence-based practices in real-world settings. We will introduce TIARA’s innovative approach to implementation practice, the novel intersection of implementation science and quality improvement.
